Loved their space and the drink specials. Particularly on a Sunday we enjoyed the inexpensive Mimosa carafe. They're up a flight of stairs facing San Marcos' main square and have plenty of shaded bar and table seating. Free parking is available on nearby streets.
This place is really cool! Great drinks! Bartender was awesome! I highly recommend the pickle shots! We’ll be back when we come to visit our daughter!
Years ago I used to go here with someone special I used to know. The bartender always made awesome cocktails. I probably had the best mojito ever here, and I highly recommend coming here. The 'Shade' was always cool outdoor spot to go to in town, and good to see it is still doing well. A hideaway of sorts in San Marcos

My favorite bar on the square, it's kind of a hidden gem. Front entrance is by black rabbit saloon and back stairs are by tap room. Great cocktails. And dollar dos equis on mondays. A very chill out door bar with cafe lights and giant jenga. Great place to hang out with friends you know.
The pickle shots are the best and their specials are cheap. It's a really fun environment on the right nights as king as it isn't to cold and there are plenty of people there. They have large games like connect five and corn hole set up as well. They gave different specials on different days. It's definitely a place to stop at when you're making your rounds around the square.
